Bio

Introducing a prolific and inspirational singer, songwriter, choir director, and musician, ladies and gentlemen, I give you the multi talented Vincent Tharpe. Vincent Tharpe has taken the Memphis Gospel Music scene by storm, and is sweeping across the nation.
Vincent Tharpe's passion is in praise and worship. At every ministry opportunity he demonstrates that worship is not just a song, but that it's truly a lifestyle. An integral part of the music ministry of Vincent Tharpe & Kenosis is life according to Philippians 2:5-8 where scripture shows Christ emptying out himself to become totally receptive to God and His most perfect will.

The music ministry of Vincent Tharpe & Kenosis was formed from and inspired by a high school gospel choir, Craigmont High, were he served as director. Being a high school gospel choir, they were limited to when and where they could minister. After accomplishing the live recording of Craigmont High School Gospel Choir, known as Voices of Harambee, God began to show Vincent visions about his ministry. God began to send individuals such as: Apostle Kevin Davidson, Michelle Prather, Minster Andrew Knox, and many others, to influence the beginning of his musical career.

January 2009, Vincent Tharpe & Kenosis connected with One Voice Management Consulting Group (OVMCG), where Zantino M. Kimmons is the CEO & President. Zantino quotes, "Kenosis has a very developed sound, unique style, and tasteful flavor which puts them in a favorable light in the music industry." Through this management, Vincent Tharpe & Kenosis has had opportunities to be featured on the same stage with some of the industry's most notable gospel singers: Dr. Bobby Jones & the Nashville Super Choir, Trinitee 5:7, Dottie Peoples, LeJuene Thompson, Group 1 Crew, Bishop Leonard Scott, Nu Tradition, and many others. Vincent Tharpe & Kenosis was afforded the opportunity to sing on the Dr. Bobby Jones Word Network taping and was also featured during the 2009 Pre-Dove Awards Showcase.
