I hadn't heard of Band of Skulls or the talented djs under the name of Vindata before my boy sent this track over to me. After checkin out the original Band of Skulls track, it's clear to me that Vindata did most of the work with this one to make it the banger that it is. Apparently the Vindata crew has some other remixes out consisting of a track from Usher and a remix of the song Bedrock.. but posting tracks like that isn't really the PBJ style. As I mentioned in the Religion post, Vindata is on point. Seriously, these guys are fucking good. Every remix these guys put out can be considered the best remix of any song. As you can see below, they can remix anything from Band of Skulls to Young Money. I guarantee Vindata can make your bed rock harder than Nikki Minaj. Vindata are an act who seem to have the Midas touch. Like all their past work, their remix of Band of Skulls Fire is an absolute banger, five minutes of electro dynamite. I think this track is a little more subtle than past efforts, with clever buildups leading to huge drops.

Southern California’s reigning remix champs are at it again. Vindata keeps amping up some of the hottest tracks from all genres with their dirty bass-lines and grimy synths. Branden “Apollo” Ratcliff and Jared “Ark Angel” Poythress branched out from the group RELIGION to form Vindata and are making quite the name for themselves right out of the gate. Staying true to the original song, and meshing the lyrics with their brand of electro is their signature, and they are pulling it off as well as anybody in the game right now. With four absolutely BANGIN’ remixes already out and an album in the works, Vindata is sending ripples through the electro scene that will soon turn into a tidal wave. Apollo & Ark Angel were cool enough to send us their remixes of Will.I.Am and Usher’s colabo OMG as well as the remix they did of the Band Of Skulls single Fires. Both mixes are excellent examples of what this talented duo brings to the table, so check them out for yourself!!

Branden “Apollo” Ratcliff and Jared “Ark Angel” Poythress joined forces to form the electro-remix juggernaut that is Vindata. Hailing from sunny Southern California this duo has burst onto the scene to make some serious noise throughout the electronic music community. With an eclectic musical background ranging from hip-hop to punk, classical to indie and even experimental influencing their mixes, Apollo and Ark Angel created a sound that is identifiable, yet diverse.
“Melodic energy with a rough core.” This is how Vindata describes their sound, a statement that holds true to every track they have released. Identifying songs with meaningful and catchy lyrics is first priority within their creative process. The ultimate goal is to create a danceable, electro sound to mesh with the lyrics, all while staying true to the artist’s original vision. Through this process, Vindata has produced some of the most dance-floor friendly remixes in the Electro-House genre.
