It’s been quite a few years for rock quartet Viniloversus, one of the hottest bands in Venezuela right now.
They played SXSW, they released their sophomore album Si No Nos Mata (“if it doesn’t kill us”), they were nominated for a Latin Grammy in the Best Rock Solo Vocal Album category, they went bowling, and now, they’re hitting replay.
The band released the first part of a documentary about the band. It’s in Spanish, but non speakers can enjoy the vibe of a very, very young band (they’re all in their early 20s) coping with fame and their extreme passion for music — and of course, there’s their bro moments.
Viniloversus, as explained in the doc, derive a lot of their sound from the 60s and 70s, with non-stop high-energy grunge guitar pounds and the smooth, mature rock crooning of Rodrigo Gonsalves. It’s rock ‘n roll pure and simple. - MTV IGGY http://blog.mtviggy.com/2010/12/15
Viniloversus started rocking Caracas in 2004, both live and on record. One of the many reasons for their unique sound is the presence of two bassists in the band. Impeccable performances and sharp, strong notes hit the audience like thunder in their shows. Ruleta Rusa is taken from their Latin Grammy-nominated latest album Si No Nos Mata. - http://www.guardian.co.uk/

Bio
Viniloversus is a band that has been driven by challenging themselves. They began their career in Venezuela, a country where establishing a successful rock and roll project seemed highly unlikely. Nonetheless, they managed to establish themselves as one of the main acts of the country and became one of the musical icons for a generation of Venezuelans that grew up in a scenario defined by chaos and conflict. The band looked to gain international exposure from its early beginnings by touring in Venezuela, United States, Colombia, Mexico, Panama & Spain. They were nominated 3 times for the Latin Grammy -earning one of the awards with their album “Cambie de Nombre” and becoming a reference of Spanish Rock. After a brief hiatus, the band takes on its greatest challenge yet: to take its music to a global audience. The band, now based out of Miami, FL, has taken on this challenge by writing songs in English and integrating a new member. Viniloversus, is currently actively performing its new English material and recently released the first their first album in English called ‘’Days Of Exile’’. Viniloversus I currently preparing for their first 2018 Days Of Exile U.S tour.
