Vining Hill

 Chicopee, Massachusetts, USA
BandRockAlternative

Building off a precice, hard hitting rhythm section, we add heavy, technical, guitar-driven riffs, unique vocal styling and heartfelt lyrics, showcasing a creative writing style; ranging from melodic acoustic lines to incredibly tight metal riffs hanging in a delicately balanced arrangement.

Biography

Vining Hill was formed in the fall of 2002 by four Western Massachusetts musicians who aimed to break away from the current music trends in our area and write music that would make an impression on all who heard it. With influences ranging from classic rock legends to Scandinavian metal pioneers, Vining Hill is defying the critics and carving our own niche in the face of rock music.

Coming from a primarily metal background, we decided to breath some fresh air into the rock scene by creating something off the beaten path.

Days Like These

Written By: Vining Hill

Again the sun will rise too soon
And bring with it it's daily doom
Still not
recovered from yesterday
Relentless, it burns us anyway
It days like these
I’d like to forget
Staring at the stars and asking
What more could you want
from me?
You can have this ship called faith ‘cause it’s sinking.
I’m diving
over, swimming deep, and drinking
Laying under empty skies
I’ve asked your
help so many times
Now seeing through these broken eyes
I think I’ve gone and
changed my mind (never mind)
I’ve learned my lesson my not moving at
all
I’ve seen the light but not seeing at all
I know that you won’t forgive
and forget
Yet still I’m sorry for the black mark on your perfect
list
Staring at the stars and asking
What more could you want from me?
You
can have this ship called faith ‘cause it’s sinking.
I’m diving over, swimming
deep, and drinking
Staring at the stars and asking
What more could you want
from me?
You can have this ship called faith ‘cause it’s sinking.
I’m diving
over, swimming deep, and drinking
It’s days like these I’d like to
forget
It’s days like these, days like these

Hourglass

Written By: Vining Hill

I’ve been screaming in your ear so long
I’m too worn out to carry on
Stampede
coming with your ear on the ground
And I doubt you ever heard a sound
The
fighting words have all been said
Let’s beat this horse good and dead
I’ve
given this more than you could understand
Watching the glass while time passes
with sand
Prove to me you were worth this crimson red
‘Cause these veins of
compassion have all been bled
Hang up your costume, and shed the
disguise
I’ve seen the deceit, and the clouds in your eyes
You’ve been
singing this tune since god knows when
No more, not here, never again.
I’ve
given this more than you could understand
Watching the glass while
time
Stampede coming with your ear on the ground
And I doubt you ever heard
a sound
I’ve given this more than you could understand
Watching the glass
while time passes with sand
How am I supposed to be,
Standing here
complacently?
While you tear apart the seams
Of my only treasured dreams

Promises

Written By: Vining Hill

Where's the girl you said was mine?
Do you keep her locked inside?
Where’s
the smile, the glowing eyes?
Weren't you happy?
God I tried...
Where's
your patience?
Where's your pride?
And have you given up on the
inside?
Where's the love you had for me?
The clouds are breaking over
me
Breathe in, breathe out
You'll be alright now
I know you're scared
now
We'll help you somehow
This love I feel for you but you break my
heart
And all that we've been through you tear apart
I'm the one for you, I
am more than your friend
And I'm here for you
Who's this girl without a
spine?
Was this hatred locked inside?
Why did I deserve this pain?
Because I
love you I'll wait.
Breathe in, breathe out
You'll be alright now
I know
you're scared now
We'll help you somehow
This love I feel for you but you
break my heart
And all that we've been through you tear apart
I'm the one for
you, I am more than your friend
And I'm here for you
Promises you said you
keep now make me weep
and think that it's my fault
Promises you never keep -
I'm losing sleep
and it's all you're fault
Where's the girl you said was
mine?
Do you keep her locked inside?
What you want I want for you, no else
was here for you
Where's the girl you said was mine?
Do you keep her locked
inside?
What did I do to you to deserve to lose you?
Breathe in and breathe
out
Breathe in and...
Your walls you break them down
You fuckin' brace
yourself
You break that window, cut your fingers
Wish it was over.
