What started as a few friends jamming quickly turned into what is now known as VINNIE AND SKINNY. The trio comprised of Vince Costanza, Ben Cummings, and Nelson Pamplona have been tearing up the local San Diego music scene ever since that first jam session.
The soulful vocals provided by Vince "Vinnie" Costanza are complimented by the silky strings of Ben "Skinny" Cummings. If it's acoustic soul that you're looking for, you've come to the right place.
Vince Costanza has been a renowned singer-songwriter for many years, and has worked with such artists as the insanely popular San Diego phenom Jackson Price, the hit trio from New York The Yes Team, and has even done some songwriting for MC Hammer. Hammer Time!
Ben Cummings provides the strings and has had a violin in his hands since the age of four. Being classically trained by the Suzuki method not only helped him land a full ride to college, but also led to performances in the Liberty Symphony, as well as National Anthem performances for the Kansas City Royals and the Stanford Cardinals.
Last but not least we have the sweet beats of Nelson Pamplona, the local surfer and entrepreneur turned percussionist. He was the missing link to what is now VINNIE AND SKINNY.
They are here to stay and are coming to a local venue near you. Stay tuned!
