Feeling a bit camera shy

Vinny Pyro is a rock quartet from Ottawa Ontario who's sound is reminiscent of what you might have heard on the radio about thirty years ago, but with an added twist of popular music that we all know and love today. Their influences range from the Beatles, to Nirvana, to Green Day, along with new bands from overseas like Franz Ferdinand. At the very beginning, Vinny Pyro, had no name, no real direction, and no singer. But what they did have, was a whole lot of passion for music. They spent a year or two just screwing around in their drummer's(Jonathan Schultz) basement studio, coming up with a few songs, but with no lyrics, that's a problem. They had tried out a singer or two, but nothing really worked right with the band. Then, around christmas 2004, they found the missing ingredient. A guitarist turned singer(Phil Guerrette) who had prior experience in other bands. Everything was great, they had found a singer, but there was still one problem, no mic. This problem was quickly fixed, thanks to their drummer's father, who's been in the music business for many years. He lent them a mic that had been used by Bob Dylan at a show in Ottawa, and that's when it all began. They started writing a few songs, some good, some not so good, but even still, some people were starting to show interest in the band. Vinny Pyro played a few parties, but never anything major. Nothing was really happening though at that point until Carl Schultz, Mike Rouleau and Bernie Maisonneuve started showing some interest in the band. Carl Schultz is Jonathan Schultz's father, and Mike and Bernie are in the business as well and together form Big Electric Music. So, the band got together with them a few times, worked on some material, and that's when things really kicked off. Vinny Pyro won the Battle of the Bands at their high school, and they played a few other shows there as well. That's when everyone decided they should start working on an album, so they did. And now, after about a year of hard work, "A Perfect Match", their debut album is finally finished and ready to take the world by storm.
