Born in the early part of 2006, the San Francisco band Vin Rouge sought out to create an alternative rock experience different from what was being heard at the time. The two founding members, Drew Valentine and Adam McKibben had been in a variety of touring acts and had been making a variety music ranging from electronic to flamenco. They decided to take what they knew and played, to give birth to a new sound. The ideology behind it was to capture what’s great from any genre and use it to create timeless music that can entertain a wider array of musical tastes. After going through a variety of “hired guns”, the two founding members took on guitar and bass player Abrian Blumthal as a permanent addition to the group. The three band mates, along with a rotating cast of other musicians, then started playing small clubs in the bay area. In a matter of months Vin Rouge was headlining and filling the best clubs in San Francisco. Now with their debut self-titled EP out and backed with a great light show, Vin Rouge are poised to share their unique musical experience with the masses.
