Biography

It was back in 2006 when Dan and Chris came up with the idea of founding a rock band. Soon, Paul and Lou joined the two friends and so, they played their first gig in May 2007. In fact, Misch supported the group at this very first gig but unfortunately he couldn’t join “THE VINTAGE GIGOLOS” for good at that time, seen that he was already the lead singer of the well-known Luxembourgish Rock Band “ILL?”
Nevertheless, the four guys were still motivated after some really successful gigs in 2007, and so they kept on hitting the stages of their home country during the following 2 years. After the increasing demand for an album by their supporters, the Gigolos started the preparation for their first record at the end of 2009. Only some weeks later they could repatriate Misch and undertake some important changes in the singing parts of their songs. Finally, the band entered the studio in July 2010. Together with Charles Stoltz (HOLTZ STUDIOS, Tuntange) they recorded the 10 first songs of their debut album “The Day After”, which was released December 23 at the legendary, Luxemburgish club “Melusina”.
At the end of January 2011, something very special for the whole band happened: after only one week on iTunes, their single “The Day After” reached the 2nd place in the Luxembourgish iTunes- and RTL “Hitmaschinn” – Charts; the highest new entry ever! Only one week later the single then reached the 1st place, where it remained for 2 weeks.
At the moment, many shows are already scheduled for 2011 and the Band has already begun the preparation for their next record. More information on that topic will be announced soon.
