"My Old Kentucky Blog Sirius XMU Playlist 1/8/2013"

Happy New Year! Here’s the playlist from today’s My Old Kentucky Blog Radio on SIRIUS XMU, Channel 35! Tune in to channel 35 on either SIRIUS or XM at Noon ET or 12am ET/9pm PST each and every Tuesday! - My Old Kentucky Blog

"Vintage Moon – Sinterpretation EP"

Up-and-coming artists, take notes on how to cleverly craft an intriguing, yet short winded bio:

Vintage Moon was started as a collection of material that would fit perfectly in the backdrop of your living room when you were a kid building a fort out of chairs and cushions when you were home alone.

Short. Simple. Quick reference to one of childhood’s fondest past times. And laid back, atmospheric guitar riffs along the lines of Silver Sun Pickups. Really, what more could you ask for.

Listen away! - The Get Downnn

"Weekly Download 2/13/13 (Neutralize, Qtier and more)"

With another Weekly Download upon us. we’re once again having trouble giving more credit to one or the other. But before we say anything, you have to listen to the EDM skills of Neutralize with the track “Falling Down” featuring vocals from Zoë Phillips.

We’re also quite partial to Qtier who just hit the mood right with some smooth beats and quiet harmony – like Kruder & Dorfmeister meets Milosh. Very mentionable is Curious Quail who have a Maccabees motif going on. Although they’ve also been compared to The National and Talking Heads within the same breath, we’re quite sure you’ve heard nothing quite like them.

Lots more to discover this week, so dig in, visit each bands webpage, and as always let us know what you think and which is your favorite track! - Music Under Fire

"Vintage Moon " Night Heights""

California band Vintage Moon have just sent over their new single "Night Heights". I want you all to keep in mind as you listen to the track, that this is a new band, and their sound is so cohesive and electrifying, like the veterans in the industry. The EP will be released in a few months (March, April), but if it's anything like this track, it would be great to check them out. - Indie Here

"Unsigned Friday: Vintage Moon"

Who: Vintage Moon. We play kinda throw back lo-fi electro-synth pop that's moody but wouldn't be out of place in a John Hughes film. Someone said it sounded heroin-ishly 80s, but I don't know what the fuck that means.

Where: Silverlake, Los Angeles

When: We've been playing and recording since around November/December of 2012.

Why: I think my description on Soundcloud states this best: "Vintage Moon was started as a collection of material that would fit perfectly in the backdrop of your living room when you were a kid building a fort out of chairs and cushions when you were home alone."

Biggest Moment: Still working on this, but I was pretty stoked to hear a song I wrote on Sirius XMU on the "My Old Kentucky Blog" radio show. I recorded and played to Mom, who really couldn't care less. - Oh So Fresh

"Vintage Moon - Night Heights"

Vintage Moon are a new band from the LA area and have just released their first EP as well as this single which is free to download. 'Night Heights' is synth-pop with a difference; it's almost a robotic extension of dreampop or shoegaze, both styles can be heard within this song, along with the odd hint of Hot Chip. They're just starting out and they're good already, we'll keep you posted when we hear more. - The Sound of Confusion

"Vintage Moon: “Dissertation Games”"

I think this might be more “welcome to 1982? than “welcome to 2013?, but it’s got that new horizons, anything is possible, unique snowflake vibe, and I dig it. Vintage Moon is from L.A., Silverlake specifically, and their debut EP, Sinterpretation, is out on January 29th. - I Guess I'm Floating

Discography

Still working on that hot first release.
