Wow, where do I even begin!!! When I first heard this CD, I was just so blown away.I thought to myself,"Why haven't I heard this before."This CD exemplifies incredible vocals with great music to accompany it. The lyrics are just so well put together and the music has such great edge and uniqueness about it. This CD just really stands out. Also, this is the type, that you could never get bored with and you could listen to it, no matter what mood you are in. I honestly could not pick out just one song, because they all are just so great. This portrays an awsome CD!!!!! Everything from the lyrics, vocals, and music to the way the CD looks is just AMAZING!!!! - xnrock.com
Never The Same growls at you as if it is from the Pacific Northwest rather than Alabama. Vintage Stone does have a Soundgarden feel exemplified by vocals in the Chris Cornell vein. This band does have their own personality from the burgeoning grunge ballad Shadow Over Clouds to the thunderously brawny Ignorance. Dynamic and energetic music. - Music Morsels Magazine
VINTAGE STONE
Hailing from the state of Alabama, Vintage Stone found their way to Nashville to record their E.P. with producer/engineer Chris Mara. Chris gave me a call and said they rocked so I booked them a show. Coming in with a mellow/tribal beat intro, I wasn’t sure what to expect. Blake, the lead singer; came in and instantly brought to mind Chris Cornell of Soundgarden/Audioslave. As the set progressed, the energy rose. Each song built on the previous and gained momentum. With bass-driven, melodic choruses, Blake’s voice really filled the room. This guy can sing! Vintage Stone has a Tool meets Soundgarden style that capitalizes on the powerful vocals and the drive of a solid bass player. I didn’t get a copy of the E.P., but if it’s anything like their live show, Vintage Stone should be able to start making a name for themselves in the Nashville area as a harder yet melodic rock-n-roll band.

Bio
"Vintage Stone are obviously very creative and imaginative musicians who are able to experiment with their sounds and rhythm patterns will stunning results." - Rebecca Williams (Head of A&R) of Chromium Records, which featured Vintage Stone on a 2004 Compilation Album.
This quote is true of our sound ever since our conception into the rock world as a band. We were formed in late 2003 and begin playing many shows. Vintage Stone finally released their highly anticipated self-debut album in 2004. After a year of touring that album, the band finally found the sound they were looking for. In that time the band started work on their second record, Thoughts of A Dreamer. This EP captured the sound they were looking for perfectly. Our Engineer for the EP, Chris Mara, had this to say, “I was thoroughly impressed with these guys. I didn’t know what to expect when we got into the studio, I’m happy to say that they have really worked hard to get a great, original sound that people will respond too. Keep your eyes on these guys.”
On our latest release, we were extremely picky on our song writing skills. We made it a purpose to make sure that all the lyrics could hold up on their own and had meaning behind them. They are songs that reflect everyday situations in this world we are living in today. They face everything from religion and life to fear and depressed feelings. The title track, Thoughts of a Dreamer, is taken from a real life event that happened not to long ago. The song tells of a kid, who was marked as a different and just couldn’t take it anymore. The depression and loneliness took its toll on the boy who eventually took his own life and some of his fellow classmates in a school shooting, something we see way to often these days.
We are currently touring on our new EP, playing numerous shows a month all across the SE Region.
We were also selected as a Top 5 Finalist for WTAK's Demo Demolition. We were chosen by a panel of judges and an online popular vote from more than 230 Southeastern bands.
Were selected as Band of the Month for April 2006 by the Iron Boot, a Huntsville, AL metal website.
