"WeChameleon Review"

Vinyl Floor is a very interesting Danish alternative rock band consisting in the two brothers Thomas Charlie Pedersen and Daniel Pedersen and the longtime friend and colleague Rasmus Bruun.

Their new, third album will be officially released tomorrow, October 6 via Karmanian Records. It's titled "Vaudeville" and features the first single "Change The Song", a track whose video won an Akademia Award (Hollywood, CA) for Best Alternative Music Video last April. On May 23 Vinyl Floor released the second single "Time Your Life": both tracks received a lot of airplay in EU, Australia, USA, Ecuador and China.

"Vaudeville" is a solid, convincing album; the band experimented with back track effects, ukulele, percussion, and various guitar effects, and this impacted on the various moods and versatility of the record.

If epic alternative rock with dark and folkish twists could be your cup of tea, Vinyl Floor's Vaudeville is an album you simply can't miss. - MadSeason

"GigSlutz (UK) Review"

ALBUM REVIEW: Vinyl Floor ‘Vaudeville’
Rating: 4/5

Since establishing their own record label in 2009, Danish alternative rock trio Vinyl Floor have slowly been making their way to the big bands. Their 2012-released second LP Peninsula almost brought them Grammy nominations, and the first single off the soon-to-be-released follow up, ‘Change The Song’, snatched an Akademia award for best alternative music video.

The above-mentioned track is also the opener of their upcoming album, Vaudeville, and it is an absolutely catchy upbeat rock start that, ironically, inevitably leads to compulsive hitting of the ‘repeat’ button. Next come ‘Shift’, which threads on the line between alternative and hard rock, and second single ‘Time Your Life’, wonderfully topped with violin sections, written by the band themselves and performed by the girls of The Vindla String Quartet from Sweden.

The songs that follows feature quite an enjoyable mix of styles, from the vocal harmonies of soft rock numbers ‘Angel of Crime’, ‘Just A Shadow’ and ‘Fallen Leaves’, to the raw production of the edgier ‘Sensational Freedom Country Estate’. Songs to pay special attention to include ‘Castles’, where Thomas Pedersen’s vocals and the use of acoustic guitars create a distinctive Nordic folk sound; ‘Colorblind’, with its dark, haunting atmosphere; and the theatrical ‘Basket Of Kisses’ and ‘The Abyss’, the latter being my personal favourite, as it sings directly to the always hungry for adventures child in me who grew up on pirate tales such as Treasure Island.

On their third outing, Vaudeville, Vinyl Floor have amply experimented with a variety of instruments to produce a refreshingly versatile sound. That being said, the album does have its faults: at times the tempo is a bit plodding and the songs start to sound similar. With this record, however, the band show that they do hold potential; and if they continue to evolve then who knows, they may even be the next Kashmir. - Mariana Nikolova

Album Review Vinyl Floor ‘Vaudeville’
The talented alternative rock band Vinyl Floor has released a new EP ‘Vaudeville’. The rock stars have entertained their fans with previous albums and singles such as ‘Do you still Dream’, ‘Peninsula’, ‘Random kind of Delight’ and ‘Change the song’.

‘Vaudeville’ is a brilliant album and it has 12 awesome and catchy tracks. This includes songs such as ‘Castles’, ‘The Abyss’ and ‘Colorblind’ that are up for streaming. The band is fresh and exciting to the ears, they have great talent which shines through on each track and they have a simple yet cool image that really sets with their style of music.

The art cover for ‘Vaudeville’ is also attractive to the eye and represents a retro style that they withhold perfectly. The band previously performed in Liverpool, UK earlier on this year and we sure would want them to come back again! Check out their new EP, make sure you don’t miss out! - Andriana
