"More Than Impressed"

Vinyl Over Wine

Three piece pop/punk band from Whitewater Wisconsin. These guys followed me on Twitter a couple of days ago, so I decided you check them out. I was more than impressed. Anyone who knows me, knows I love some good pop/punk. Well, these guys are just that. Amazingly, they only have around 200 fans! They remind me a bit of Forever the Sickest Kids with maybe a mix of This Wild Life. Either way, they’re super good and are releasing an EP, “Everyday Problems…” this spring that I suggest you pick up. I’ve attached a song from said EP “Hey Alyssa (I Wrote This Song for You)”

GO STALK THEM. - Courtney Gurly

Bio

After the separation of former punk band "Disco Of The Decade", members Kaleb Woods and Erik Atwell started making new music together. Excited about the songs they were putting together with just the two of them, they made their journey to St.Paul Minnesota to record in McNally Smith Studio's. After hearing their idea's come to life they finally realized that they had something "real" and more than worth perusing with. When they returned home they immediately contacted former trombone/trumpet/vocalist for Disco Of The Decade, John Benzon and invited him to play rhythm guitar as well as throw down some vocals. As soon as he heard the recordings for the single "Hey Alyssa (I Wrote This Song For You)", he was set and wanted to start practicing. Later on the members just started to fall in to place and working together so naturally. It's like it was almost meant to be. Every band will always tell you, "Our music is unlike anything you've heard before". Usually that's not the case, but in our case it truly is unlike anything you hear at your normal music festivals (Warped Tour, ect.). Influences vary from Four Year Strong, Motion City Soundtrack, Say Anything even Butch Walker. With high pitched vocals, catchy harmonies, heavy breakdowns, poppy riffs, double time tempos and a BEYOND energetic stage show you couldn't find anywhere else; it's easy to say this band has it all. Our main goal was to combine what we wanted to hear all together into one genre. We were sick of having to have a certain mood for a specific style. Why not have a band that has it all? Music doesn't have any rules, and we've done everything we could possibly do to make that known.
