Violet jupiter

Violet Jupiter is a 4 piece collective of musicians inspired by various styles of music including Jazz, Rock, Funk, and Electronic. The Band fuses those styles together for a mixture of covers and originals, creating a genre of their own called “Planetary Fusion”.

Musicians:

Steffen Gotsch is a bassist with an incredibly diverse background. He has been trained in jazz, but is well-versed in many genres including Jazz, Rock, Pop, Funk, Neo-Soul, and Progressive Metal to name a few. He has played a vast array of shows, from gypsy-rock concerts to country gigs to small intimate settings all over the DMV area.

Griff Behelor, otherwise known as Grifter of Ease, is a drummer and is prevalent in many other groups, including his own projects, Violet Jupiter, and a Ska band called “The Upstarters”. He started in metal, but has acquired a great amount of skill over the years in various other genres of music, including Ska, Rock, Trance, and Funk.

Tommy Z is a highly skilled guitarist and is one of the most adaptable and fluid musicians in the DMV. He’s had decades of experience, he is incredibly honed in the nuances of every genre he encounters, and has played in too many groups to count.

Vince Szynborski is a multi-instrumentalist with a Bachelor’s Degree in Music. He is the woodwind and synth player for the group, as well as the vocalist. He’s trained in jazz, but plays a myriad of styles and genres. He’s played in multiple groups around DC and Baltimore, but his main passion is with Violet Jupiter.
