This Bakersfield / Americana folk project was inspired by Anita Carter, Dale Evans, Hank Williams, Sr., Patsy Cline & Johnny Cash. Collecting some of her favourite session players in Los Angeles (like the guitar-picken' stylings of the Nashville transplant Kevin Haalnad), Rie Sinclair hand-plucked & cooked up a a little old fashioned fun. Violet & Mayhem’s new CD, SOUR MASHED WHISKEY has Nine little 2-3 minute original melodic gems; nostalgic & witty, plus the Hank Williams cover “I Can’t Help It (If I’m Still In Love With You)”. Release date: Fall 2012.
