Pen and K-Paul are V.I.P. two long time best friends and cousins, based in Austin, Texas home of SXSW. The duo, who have made the most of SXSW as it has gotten bigger and bigger every year is primed for radio, touring and can hang with the best when it comes to features.

Having toured with Mike “5000" Watts and having got the official co-sign from the legendary screwed up DJ, V.I.P. is as good oil in Texas, and we’re not talking about that black oil. With “stay flow” double cups in hand, V.I.P. has been making its runs across the South for years, developing a cult-like fan base in Central Texas and the surrounding regions.

Dealing with health scares and the trials and tribulations of being incarcerated, Pimpin Pen and K-Paul have been through it all just to get this point. Now with a yet to be titled EP which has a host of features including Trae the Truth, Z-Ro, Freddie Gibbs, Doughbeezy, Propain and many more, V.I.P. is on the verge of reaching what many said would be impossible.

Its been an eventful couple of months for the Texas rap duo, having opened up for Master P at SXSW in their hometown of Austin, TX in March, and then in April performing on the Hittmenn DJ's Tour.

After that V.I.P hit the Mixxshow Live with Tony Neal in Las Vegas in May, and then Essence Festival 2013 in New Orleans in July. These guys are finally starting to turn the corner and build momentum with a consistent online buzz and and relentless presence in the streets and they are seasoned performers.

Armed with their critically acclaimed single "Gettin to tha Racks" featuring Trae the Truth and Dat Guy, the Texas rap duo has recently achieved posts at The Source, YouHeardThatNew, TrapsandTrunks, Dirty Glove Bastard, AllHipHop and Hip-Hop DX so people across the country will be familiar with their talent and they have an incredible set that wins them new fans every time they come out to perform.

------- More on V.I.P. --------

KPAUL and PIMPIN PEN are maternal cousins that have been making quality music since 1999 as V.I.P. They were signed to a label Mentally Twisted Records in early 1999 then later that year dropped constant hits earning them instant recognition and local fame as teenagers. The same year they were featured on 88.7 KAZI's Texas Top 40 Countdown holding down the #1 spot for months. After going through contract disputes and miscommunication with the former label they decided to part ways and begin their own Nina Ross Records which is NOW one of the MOST RESPECTED and sought after INDEPENDENT labels in Tx. After releasing "Welcome 2 da GroundUnda" the two anchored a tour across Tx with Houston's own Trae and many more creating a solid street following through Tx and surrounding states. Not long after releasing "02 Block Edition" and "Plastic Crack" V.I.P set the standard in Austin's buzzing music scene. Despite legal issues and many incarcerations KPaul and Pimpin Pen remain at the TOP of their game releasing project after project through the trials and tribulations. As KPaul had to serve 3 yrs in Texas Department of Criminal Justice Pimpin Pen released "KingPen"which gained him "Artist of the Year" and "Album of the Year" in the same year as he held down the Nina Ross stable 1 deep continuing their dream. After KPaul was released from the system he put out the mixtape Stay Flow hosted by DJ Michael 5000 Watts. Now that V.I.P has created a SOLID fan base and INCREDIBLE street buzz through numerous mixtapes, concerts, tours and features with regional heavyweights they are set to release Bottom of the 9th mixtape, which is the FINAL sizzler before the ALBUM. The album will feature Freddie Gibbs, Big Chief, Bo Roc from the Dove Shack, Bluu Suede and more!
