Virginia Maestro introduces her fourth album, ‘Blue Bird’, a work that includes 11 new songs of her own authorship.

Biography

Virginia Maestro (born September, 1982) is a Spanish singer-songwriter from Linares, Andalucía who now lives in Madrid. Her voice has been described as a blend of Wanda Jackson's, Norah Jones's and Duffy's.

She spent nearly a decade as an independent artist in the Andalucía music scene, releasing an EP in that time. When she was 25 she won the musical tv program Operación Triunfo and she started with sony music. Labuat is currently signed to sony music where she has released three albums, the last one "Blue Bird" will be publish on 16 of October, this time as an indepent artist. She has produce her own album through a succssesful crowdfunding.

Virginia has been the opener for Beyoncé, Seal, Jamie Cullum and she has touring in Spain with Gaby Moreno. She has been playing in Regent Street in London as the sound of Spain. 

On 2012 she won the ABC radio awards as the best singer of the year with her song 'The time is now'.

On November, 2012, Maestro was nominated as the best artist and the best video in 40 principales awards with 'Dulce Hogar'.

On 2009 was nominated to best album on tve show with 'Labuat'.
