Dear Sir or Madame
June 2008 saw the grand opening of the Burke Centre Library. Staff wanted to celebrate with joyful music in our bright open space. Virginia Bronze provided great entertainment for our library patrons. Customers were drawn into the branch and gathered on floor and nearby chairs to listen and enjoy. The group gave a very exciting handbell performance for all ages. We had a diverse audience of families who thoroughly enjoyed the concert. The content was such that people not only heard wonderful music, but learned a great deal about the songs and the bells. Virginia Bronze brought great value to our Burke Centre community through their service and effort. Although our AC broke down on that opening day, the ringers valiantly made sure that the show would go on. Burke Centre staff were impressed with their dedication and “can do spirit” and we hope to work with them again in the future.
Sincerely,

Bio
If you have only seen handbells in a church setting, you are in for a unique performance with Virginia Bronze. We are the only community-based, auditioned handbell ensemble in Northern Virginia. You definitely won't hear "Firebird Finale" or "In The Mood" on bells in a church! Formed in 2006 from handbell ringers who wanted the challenge, satisfaction and diversity of professional performance opportunities, Virginia Bronze has performed with the Metropolitan Chorus, the Alexandria Symphony Orchestra, accompanied the Cathedral Choral Society at the National Cathedral, and rung in the New Year at First Night Alexandria.
