Viscous

A band. One that prides itself on hardwork, laughter, creativity, freedom of expression and a supreme dose of childish behavior. For we were all children once, and look back to those days with a nostalgia unlike any kind. We are your nostalgia, in reverse.

We began on the campus of Grossmont College when future frontman, Marcus Schaer was studiously studying his acting class notes, when the glorious, triumphant, eloquent, and downright cool, sound of a classical flamanco guitar teased and welcomely invaded his unexpected ear drums. With his heart aflutter, Marcus gingerly skipped over to the source of the beauty and not awkwardly inqured about the sensation that had just occurred. The unwittant future guitar player of the not yet conceived band Viscous, Keven Ford, informed Marcus that he was available to meet and "collaborate" for fun's sake! Eureka!! After skipping Halloween to play music, very awkwardly in Marcus's garage, the two decided that it would do to proceed with future ventures. After months of these types of events, Marcus thought it wise to include his long time friend Jake Stewart, drummer of his previous band, Superfluous, in on these occurances to see if he would like to join the duo and make it a...trio. In minutes, Jake began to drum on a wooden stool, and decided that the group would do. Some time passed, and Keven hand selected a man who would soon come to be known as "the tallest member in the band Viscous" to come watch the trio in their rawest of rehersals. The tallest man, Chance Swanson, first added color with a guitar, but soon realized that his true passion for the band did not lay within 6 strings, but within 5! Yes, a 5 string bass is what rests on the neck of this gentle giant! After the foursome was completed, much music was then created and the band has taken to the stage at places such as SOMA, Lestats Coffee Shop, Fannies Cocktail Bar, and Brick By Brick, and are coming soon, to a stage near you!
