Making a mark on The “Mini Apple,” Vital Vice has become one of the newest alternative bands to make public appearance, and people are swooning. I had the opportunity to sit with the band at a rehearsal as well as over some drinks, and seeing a group come this far in such a short amount of time, was exhilarating. I wanted to get to know the guys on a bit of a personal level and find out what life was like before, how it’s treating them now, and the goals they have with Vital Vice. Currently, the band is in the process of booking shows all over the Twin Cities, to get their name and branding out. On average, they rehearse 3-5 times per week and are planning on recording studio time, to hopefully release their anticipated five-song EP(extended play), with songs such as Sweet Melody, and On My Way. They are serious about public outreach, as are most up and coming artists, so the guys have been spending countless hours on social media promotion. - Immersion Mag
Up next was Vital Vice, an alternative rock 5-piece, again based right here in Minneapolis. Vital Vice’s set was an eclectic blend of bluesy guitars, synths keys and hooky bass lines – making for some of the most ear-wormy, catchy songs of the evening. Their sound seemed to draw from a lot of 80’s influences, a few songs even reminding my photographer and I of an 80’s movie soundtrack – think Risky Business or Fast Times at Ridgemont High. Vital Vice had a very Big Country feel, one of the great Scottish rock bands of the 80’s. Strong vocals from frontman Brandon Elliott made for an engaging set. These guys seem to have a lot of potential and we look forward to hopefully seeing more in the near future. - Twin Cities Media
