Bio
Vito was born and raised in Kent, Washington. His dad owned a butcher shop for 20 years where he lost his middle finger on his fretting hand when he was 8. Following his inspiration from Django Reinhardt, Vito taught himself how to play several instruments nonetheless. He grew up playing punk rock music, but through evolution and maturity, he currently plays old time/americana music with ranges from bluegrass to rag time jazz. The influences and sound of his project, Vito and the One Eyed Jacks, are along the lines of the Devil Makes Three and Old Crow Medicine Show. Vito writes all the material and records most of the instruments. Vito has been playing in and around Seattle for the last twelve years (including the last two Folklife Festivals), and is currently looking for an opportunity to expand his audience by getting more exposure, touring, and seeking management and label support. He has a group of very talented musicians that join him for live shows. Vito is currently working on writing, recording, and producing his next album, hopefully due out by November.
