Bio
Vivienne the Witch are Caterina Fuso (drums/backing vocals), Greta Fuso (vocals and bass), and Lucrezia Peppicelli (vocals and guitar). They started playing together as teenagers in a band called Twister. They began playing covers from their favourite artists but as time passed they felt the need to express themselves and started composing their own music and writing their own lyrics. They participated in many contests in their region, Umbria, and also won Musica dalle scuole 2009. Because of that they had the chance to have their first real experience in a recording studio at Euphonè Pro Music. In 2010, after some line-up changes, Twister recorded and produced their first EP, Untamed, in the drummer’s home recording studio, The Factory. In 2011 they took part in the regional selection of Italia Wave, one of Italy’s most popular independent music festivals. In August 2012 the band underwent a name change to ‘Vivienne the Witch’ and they continued performing live and writing more songs throughout 2013. During one of their concert Simone Lanari (El Topo Diablo) and Alessio Rosi (Casaohm Recording) proposed them a collaboration.
Vivienne the Witch recorded their first album, Shadowbox, at Casaohm recording studios in August 2014. The album contains 8 original tracks and it is now available in all digital stores. It will soon be available on CD
under Taxi Driver Records label. The videoclip's “Dreams and Pain”,
directed by Francesco Ciavaglioli (Calavera Studio) is now available on
YouTube.
