Five local bands, including headlining act Vizionary, will perform Monday, Nov. 1, at Rush Nightclub, 459 Ouellette Ave., to raise money for cancer research.
The event is organized by a new local firm, Locke-Francisty Promotions.

The primordial orientation of the band came to be as such:
In early 1998, Alex and Tom formed Windsor thrashcore band DedLyne. Upon the dissolution of that band, Alex went on to form three-piece instrumental jazz/psychadelia group Transpose (2000) featuring Chris on bass (former singer/guitarist for alterna-metal band Killing Time).
After 2001, Tom continued to study Recording Engineering at The Canadian Conservatory of Music while Chris and Alex orchestrated funk-drenched rhythmic musculatures for Pointdexter (drum 'n' bass hiphop/jazz) and 9twentyfive (neo-grunge rock) following the demise of Transpose.
A chance encounter at Charly's Brew Pub brought Tom's electro-black metal demo into Alex's hands in early 2004. Tom's recording engineering side-project allowed him to hone his recording skills and songwriting skills.
Due to the compelling nature of his demo titled 'Blistered Earth', Alex amalgamated Chris and Tom to begin work on what would be quite possibly one of the most unique bands in Windsor.
Following some trials at local clubs, the group's original material was further refined and resculpted. With the fat trimmed off, Vizionary proved to be one of the most talked-about local bands of late 2004.
With all three tracks mastered in Toronto's elite Joao Carvalho Mastering facility (Sam Roberts, Boy, Tragically Hip, Pilate), Vizionary is set to release their much anticipated EP 'Isolated Incident'.
