Bio

For as long as I can remember, I've been surrounded by music. My mother was a violin teacher, and my father played accordion in his youth and then formed a one-man band performing voice-imitations of musical instruments. My brother followed in my mother's footsteps and took up violin lesson at age seven. From the age of six, I was learning piano in my hometown of Odessa, Ukraine, and graduated a music school at 13 with a piano degree. A year later, my family imigrated to the United States, where I continued my music career playing at various concert venues as my father’s accompanist. I always liked to sing as a child, but never took it very seriously, until one night when at a concert with my dad, I was asked by the MC if I could sing a few songs to substitute for a singer that fell ill and couldn’t attend. I first hesitated, but nevertheless took my chances. To my great surprise, my performance was received with great enthusiasm by the audience. I’ve been singing ever since, and 2 yeargs ago also started to compose my own songs. The songs I sing and compose are mainly slow pop balads with romantic and emotional lyrics. My influences are as varied as Chris DeBurgh, Dean Martin, Scorpions, and Joe Dassin.
