“Don't mind the mess”

Sao Paulo, Brazil, 2015 – Carnival costumes, cultural dancing of São Joao, birthday celebration, Christmas meeting, end year’s party at the office, the joy of a new year. We spend the whole year waiting for the next party. Why can’t it be next weekend? Or maybe now, in your own headphone. This unrestricted joy is what drives Vó Tereza to your player.

This Brazilian band mixes everyday life in their lyrics and fun in their music. The result is that get together with your friends where you can dance and talk, drink and Kiss getting along with that particular moment without being afraid or judged by other people. By summary, Vó Tereza is the musical representation of joy. And it’s not difficult to get into the crazy pace of this band.

A little bit of Brazilian Music, a sprinkle of Funk, a piece of Rock and a lot of Groove are the key elements of the band’s concerts and its debut EP “Não Repare a Bagunça” (Don’t Mind The Mess). The album was produced by Leonardo Marques and Kako Ruiz and bring along five songs that reproduces the catchy energy from the seven members of the band on stage, the plurality of rhythms and their relationship with everyday life in a big city.

The members of the band are Natan Kurata (Vocals), Paula Malvar (Vocals), Fernando Lima (Guitar), Spiga Bastos (Guitar), Marcelo Tuma (Percussion), Luca Gorga (Drums) e Thiago Biral (Bass) and Vó Tereza is a party that goes around the country since 2012 bringing its concert to hundreds of venues, places and people that like to share hapiness through music.

Don’t worry about your clothes, don’t bother if you’re sweat, chairs next of you or neighbors. Give yourself to the rhythm, sounds and vocals. The band is a family and makes a big family meeting with the crowd in its shows like everyone is a relative without the need of last names, same color, style, social class or any kind of judgment. As the name says (Vó is Portuguese word for Grandma) its exactly like grandma’s house: bring the family, friends, boyfriends, girflrends that there will be fun for everybody.
