Aloft in the Sundry

Aloft in the Sundry

BandRockPop

It would be best to describe the sound by how these four individuals live their lives. They are the derelicts of society and every note they combine is based upon delivering truth. The genre may not be 'Punk', but the attitude is.

Biography

Aloft in the Sundry is most definitely the first band you've heard that you cant quite 'put your finger on.' Influences range such a broad spectrum that the only music the four members agree upon is their own.

Port Side

Written By: hern.

Scene: A Fortune-Hunting ship sailing across the Southern Ocean. As weeks have passed, his own addictions and pride slowly take the Captain and he feels that his position is one that is impossible to fill. The naïve disregard of the Captain leads the First Mate into thoughts and conversations of Mutiny between the crew. The Captain is confronted and then tossed from the ship, Port Side. A conversation continues between the Captain and his lost shipmates.

First Mate: Man Overboard. Hold the Life Jackets. We don’t want this one to swim back quite so quick. You know, it’s sad to say that they never learn from History. Nevertheless, next to the stern, I believe the word will remain a Mystery.

Captain: …but you aren’t close enough to me.
……………Call May Day, it’s two-faced. Just give me one chance to say I wouldn’t have it any other way.

First Mate: It’s too bad you needed all those waves in your head. It’s too bad I’m leaving toward the Plank instead. It’s True.

Captain: As I swallow the days and taste the Sea; An addict of Habits and Static Frequencies.
…………...I’ll tread water for days. I’ll cook the tide to witness this Mutiny sail away.

First Mate: It’s too bad you needed all those waves in your head. It’s too bad I’m leaving toward the Plank instead. It’s True.

Captain: Amidst the waves and crashing lightning it’s terrifying; He looks just like me. Thundering synonymous with ignorant dominance. You know, I spoke to God and it’s between the Devil and the Deep. Between the Devil and the Deep. But you warned me for one. And tie it for them watching the Crow’s Nest dance away. You too know and I am the torn before to say and too old…oh no.

First Mate: Ahhh the smell of southern hemispheres seem to comfort the sinking ships. While the captain welcomes the Drift. I sit- I sit-
I Sit Atop the Ocean View. I sit Atop the Ocean View.

Two Windows

Written By: hern.

It feels so good to be home again.
There’s no place I’d rather be.
Far Away
From all the bullshit they feed on TV
I write my own documentary.
And as the people are being told,
I softly gaze out my window
What a view

It feels so good to be home again.
There’s no place I’d rather be
Far Away
From pseudo compliments and fantasy’s
It’s just me in the mirror scene.
Listen to the Birds ‘uh oh oh’
Listen to the Birds.
They explain it all for better or worse
What a View

And time remembers
It’s true.
I could sit here forever.

Lacking a hangover makes my vision crisp
Even though I don’t believe in anything I’ve see recently.
So I smile so discreetly, even while that word sounds completely fake to me.

I’d rather have the problems of success than stress.
I’d rather have the problems of success than stress.

Made to take in true words
In true words
This is all made to run over (sit down)
And I have two windows, two windows
That you run over
Made to you run over
What a view,
Just me and you.

Catch This, Copernicus

Written By: hern.

Scene: A rocket ship containing two astronauts re-entering the earth’s atmosphere after a lunar orbit of 6 days. A technical difficulty with the lunar aircraft leads to circumstance’s beyond everyone’s control.

Pilot 1: Amidst, strapped in. Now learning to react when gasping for lack of oxygen. I hope I see home again.

Pilot 2: Not too many have shared this scene. Hearing de-tuned frequencies, an Astronaut Symphony.

Pilot 1: Come in, Mission. We’re losing pressure and propulsion. I don’t know if I can but I’ll aim for the Ocean.
(to Pilot 2)…The clouds aren’t paying attention. Last second thoughts fail to mention that the Earth looks so pretty on the Burning Return to the City.

Pilot 2: Our Fate’s not in the Stars but in Ourselves. This is our Free Fall Zodiac. Please keep your telescope’s attached. Please.

Mission Control: And everything that’s warm stays cold to the touch. What a Handsome Skyline Torch.

Pilot 1: Thank you so much.

Pilot 2: (to Pilot 1)…The clouds aren’t paying attention. Last second thoughts fail to mention that the Earth looks so pretty on the Burning Return to the City.

Pilot 1: Our Fate’s not in the Stars but in Ourselves. This is your Free Fall Zodiac. Please keep your telescope’s attached. PLEASE.
…We’re way off course. It doesn’t matter. It could’ve been worse. It could’ve been so much worse. We’re way off course. It doesn’t matter. It could’ve been worse.

And everything has changed in the last 6 days.
