Biography

Powerful rock and raw live energy complemented by explosive and energetic live performances. This is Volition Aire.

Following their debut at Toronto's Indie Music Week and a jam-packed CD Release party at the Reverb, Volition Aire has instantly been propelled into the heart of Toronto's hard rock and metal scenes.

A live Volition Aire show proves to be more than a vehemently charged rock show and more of a community event for fans of metal from all decades.

Volition Aire has ignited a new furious sound putting a solid metal stamp on their new self-titled E.P. recorded at Euphonic Sound Recording Studio in Toronto and is available on CD and online. The E.P. has been described as "A lethal jam of classic-rock butting heads with metal energy. This is an explosive sound that will send chills up your spine without being overly aggressive."

With an upcoming 10 song release scheduled for the end of 2010 and a barrage of live events scheduled across Ontario, Volition Aire has just begun the domination of Toronto's Indie Metal Scene.

Lyrics

Aces High

Written By: Charlie Jacklin

What about the family who lost their home?
Refuged from their shelter and no place to go
its the beneficiaries of the modern day
take what they want from your hard earned pay
they try to test our resources - pretend to be kind
set up some rules then stab you from behind
anyone can tell their story but how do we trust?
say one thing that they don't like and you will be bust

All the things that they say
Are just guidelines for
The things that benefit them day to day

What about society who's lost its voice
Stripped from their future and had no choice
When the media mercenaries have all the say
The stories that they tell you earn them the most pay
It's time to test out their sources and see what you find
Dollars in the eyes of one simple mind
Anyone can write for glory but how can we trust?
Say one thing that they don't like and you will be bust

All the things that they say
Are just guidelines for
The things that benefit them day to day

Half say they want you
Half say you've got to go
Half say they need you
What do they know?

Half say they want you
Half say you've got to go
Half say they need you
What the fuck do they know?

Silhouette

Written By: Charlie Jacklin

Sitting down in the darkness
Alone and waiting
For you to find me
Breathing, pleading for change

Leaving my whole existence
Beneath the shadows
That form behind me
Dreaming, bleeding for change
Screaming

Shadows on my face
Sinking deeper down
Darkness taking over
Change is coming now

Let down from the start
Promises of better times
Dagger to the heart

As the light goes down on me
Change is taking over
Dragged back to the start

Shadows on my face
Sinking deeper down
Darkness taking over
Change is coming now

Shattered

Written By: Charlie Jacklin

I don't know the figure
Walking in the Dark
Incomplete perspective
From the corner of my eye

Voices in my head
Destroy and confuse
Lies of ecstasy
Scrambled in the news

Shattered Mind

Unexplained wisdom
Crashes to the Earth
Immobilize the future
Delay the end of crippled skies

Voices in my head
Destroy and confuse
Lies of ecstasy
Scrambled in the news

Shattered Mind

Don't tell me this is over now

Bomber

Written By: Mike McLeod

You speak more loudly than you should be heard
Your rotten mind clouds all your holy words
You rape, mame, kill in the name of god
Who's the only loving one that thinks somethings wrong?

One mind, one act, one consequence
One dead, one dying and no effect
Your lost soul will never be found

Only God can take your life
Lonely man with the bomb that thinks he's right
Plots and plans for the start of his own demise
Put his faith in God as his own disguise

One mind, one act, one consequence
One dead, one dying and no effect
Your lost soul will never be found

My foot in your face wouldn't bug me a bit
Be like putting my heel through a pile of shit
Now get this through your head while you're lying there dead
You're no good to your faith when you're dead in your grave

Buried Alive

Written By: Charlie Jacklin/Mike McLeod

There was a time when big hopes lived
Made my blood pulse strong
But in a haze I lost my way
Been drifting for too long

Still awake
Still alive
Still breathing
Last chance to suffer
Buried Alive

And as the day dies down in shadows
Deeper than the grave
As darkness creeps around me now It's time to fade away

Still awake
Still Alive
Still breathing
Last chance to suffer
Buried Alive

I remember a memory from when I was young
When innocence was a virtue you couldn't steal
When happiness never died when you turned away
Now realities hit, it's my time

And now my eyes pierce through darkness
See the truth as my body decays
No help my lucks run empty
Now realities hit, it's my time
