Bio
VolMol is a 4 piece genre bending rock band from Queens. In their blending of classic rock and jazz inspired electric guitar, grunge and avant-garde bass lines, hard rock and Latin fusion drum beats and vocals that go from gut wrenching wailing to rabbinical chanting, VolMol’s music is interspersed with themes of space, aliens, geometry, and human spirituality.
The band started after the break-up of a space-psychedelic rock outfit, with singer Dominick Morizio and guitarist David Celi joining forces to create something new. After a couple of promising jam sessions, auditions for new band members started at the singer’s house in Astoria. Thomas Macguire, a bassist from Astoria Queens was picked as a suitable bassist for his skill and vision. Drummer X-men (Xavier) found VolMol through a band video that was released on YouTube, and interested in joining, he promised the band to bring a new level of musicianship to the band with no limits on genre.
Currently, VolMol is recording their first EP and working on conceptual art that will help define, in addition to being a means to convey, the music and its meaning and intention.
VolMol will be releasing engaging music video features on the web that will encompass the band’s original art and music to the fullest and will be engaging in releasing their first album in the near future.
