We have some dates in Sao Paulo in November. After that we will return to Recife to rest a little, after all, are already 5 months of shows and trips. We will review our family and friends. But we do shows mainly in Recife during Carnival (February), the city is very famous for the big party with the carnival rhythms like typical Frevo and Maracatu. At the end of March we will be back in Sao Paulo, and who knows, we go to Austin, USA, we hope!

Volver was formed in 2003 in Recife (northeastern Brazil) with the intention of doing what they loved: rock music (in Portuguese), with a hint of power pop and good choruses. Already in the first demo the band gained national prominence in Playboy magazine and received excellent reviews in specialized sites. After participating in the contest Microfonia (the winner of nearly 400 bands entered) the band recorded their first album "Canções Perdidas Num Canto Qualquer" (english title Songs Lost in a Corner) with the prize money and release by Senhor F Discos (http://www.senhorf.com.br) on 2005.
The album was nominated for best album of Power Pop by the spanish site "Power Pop Action" (http://powerpopaction.blogspot.com/), also getting good reviews in newspapers, websites, blogs and journals, inlcuding Rolling Stone Argentina. The first appearance on TV for all of Brazil happened in the "Banda Antes MTV" with good effect. After that the band traveled throughout Brazil and has performed in virtually all independent festivals like "Abril Pro Rock (PE)", "Porão do Rock (DF)", "Coquetel Molotov (PE)", "Aumenta Que É Rock (PB)", performing in various cities like Sao Paulo (SP), Baurú (SP), Campos do Jordão (SP), Rio de Janeiro (RJ), Angra dos Reis (RJ), Brasilia (DF), Porto Alegre (RS), São Leopoldo (RS), Goiânia (DF), Curitiba (PR ), Cuiabá (MT), Salvador (BA), João Pessoa (PB), Aracaju (SE), Natal (RN), and creating a loyal following that grows every day.
The second album entitled "Acima da Chuva" (english title Above the Rain) marks an evolution in terms of arrangements and was released last year (2008) on an exciting show at the historic theater in Santa Isabel, Recife, on the stage where we have names like Carmen Miranda and the political Joaquim Nabuco. With the ability crowded (600 people in total) all sang and were moved with the music of the second album that marks a successful track record in the city. This presentation is being prepared a DVD to be released in the second half of 2010.
The album was released in partnership with MySpace and Senhor F Discos and got the mark of 60 thousand downloads! Being the first band from Recife to provide a album to fully download via MySpace.
Again the band has been touring and releasing their second album. Currently the band resides in São Paulo - for improved conditions of service and geographical distribution - and has done several TV and radio.
The band has 6 official video clips that can be checked in the Video Blog (http://www.volverbrasil.blogspot.com), the blog also has stakes in several TV shows, videos of fans and curious about the trips the band throughout Brazil.
