Von Crippon is a Rock and Roll band.... with a lot of Roll.
The Crippon Brothers lock in like only brothers can. You see it and hear it in an explosive live setting. They take what they like from the music they love. The Stones to the Stooges, The Gunclub to Speedball Baby. They know their blues too, Jimmy Reed and Junior Wells. And lets not forget the groove when they want to, being fans of Motown and Stacks records. Lyrically you'll hear a story. Gospel tinged and paying attention to the original Elvis from Hell, Hasil Adkins.
On stage you'll find Jay Crippon hunched over a black and white striped skull mounted set of Ludwigs, taking the lead on vocals, snarling "Stepping Stone" or the softer croon of "Monster Love" . Jeffrey Crippon, with a slide and a Strat thats been more than once around the block, belts em' out too with songs like "Sheepskin Blues" and "Shiver Shiver Shake".
Von Crippon is tight and loud and has twang.
