Von Demetriz, the Soulful Southern Queen, is originally from Fayetteville, North Carolina. Singing in the church choir played a significant role in developing the woman she is today. She recalls hanging out under the bleachers in high school singing and writing with friends. Von Demetriz believes that true musicians inspire each other and therefore strives to keep her music moving, loving and comforting. Von Demetriz has undoubtedly mastered putting life experiences of pain; love and hard work into a melody that makes her listeners acknowledge and appreciate their emotions through her songs. Von Demetriz has the smooth and spine tingling styling of Chaka Khan, Lauryn Hill, Faith Evans, Erykah Badu and Mary J Blige; however, possesses the inspirational, experience-driven lyrical content of Scarface, Outkast, Ludacris and Goodie Mob.

After ten years of performing original and cover-music with live bands, Signature Series and Soul Decree, Von Demetriz is able to captivate an audience with an energy filled performance and lyrically powerful vocals. Von Demetriz has not only solidified her very own place in the hearts of her listeners, but she also titled her first single, “Da Radio” making her career goal unquestionably clear. Von Demetriz, the first lady of Hittz Records, opened for triple-platinum recording artist, Monica, on Saturday, January 2, 2010 in her hometown of Fayetteville, North Carolina.

Immediately, Von Demetriz began receiving invitations to perform at various events throughout the Southeast. Von Demetriz will be performing during the 2010 CIAA Basketball Tournament in Charlotte, North Carolina. Von Demetriz will also be the featured artist in the Fayetteville Observer Weekender in February 2010.

Von Demetriz has performed in Fayetteville, Fort Bragg, Raleigh, Wilmington, Winston-Salem, Greensboro and Charlotte, North Carolina, New Orleans, Louisiana, Mississippi, Tennessee and South Carolina. She has also had the opportunity to perform at large events such as; Foxy 99.1 Summer Jam in 2009, the Fort Bragg Fair, and Ken Harris and Cynthia Horton’s wedding in New York. Please do not assume that Von Demetriz’s artistic expression is limited to her lyrical and singing abilities. In 2008, Von Demetriz played a performing role in Women Shop Talk While Real Men Wait, a stage play about a beauty shop owner experiencing domestic violence, written and directed by Carolyn Moore.
