The Voodoo Children traveled through space & time to Earth from their respective planets where we were scattered across different lands until beautiful Lady Luck answered a letter to the galaxy & brought us together.

The Groove we all share is all inside the one & everyone of us. That spiritual place in music where you transcend. As many know, it has hard to find that right mix of individuals.... Bands constantly get birthed, die...fade away... part of life.

This band is Life. We all share an energy and passion so deep we even managed to put out the power to an entire city block! We are here to fuck up the music in the best way possible and make our dreams a reality by not being a part of the manufactured dream being sold to the sleeping. We are playing music in the key of life, about the everyday & the end of the world and whatever else is true to the groove in our hearts.

There are two sides to every story, I like both. Poetic & realistic, so here is a less spaced out telling of who we really are & our influences. We are all firm believers in connection, that line between artist and listener/reader should be a little more blurry....i think.

Jennifer Robert- Was originally from Timmins, Onatrio. Then moved to the city of Toronto to pursue her dream in music. Since being here she has been writing and playing as a solo artist from busking to some of the best venues in Toronto. Her voice is sweet and earthy, full of experience and reflection. She has a deep rooted spirit and passion for life and music.

Alexandras Illescas- Ali spent time studying and playing with groups across her home of Lima, Peru. Crafting her skills from, Hip Hop to Jazz/funk/soul & composition. She is an outstanding bass player and a wonderful, open minded, conscious individual.

Katherina Illescas- The soul that pours out of Kati's beautiful bluesy notes, reflect the intelligent & sincere person playing them. Besides music Kati is a great artist who's love for all types of painting & fine art transpose into her love such a wide array of music. Kati's personality is warm and compassionate like her playing.

Carlo Schefter- A painter of sound, Carlo uses the colors of music to create liquid soundscapes that drift from dark to light. Taking inspiration from film, illustration, pulp fiction... he has a wide range of influences that drive his art/music.

Timothy Popowich- Would like to thank Jimi Hendrix. And his mom & dad.

Logan Johnston- Started drumming at the young age of 9, playing to albums his drum teacher gave him. Some of these include Led Zeppelin, Steely Dan & Grand Funk Railroad. As time went on his playing diversified from classic rock to funk, fusion, reggae, jazz & Latin, while never forgetting his roots. His unique abilities lie in being a well rounded&dynamic player providing structure, balance and intensity to any music he plays.
