Bio

Voodoo Stripe is a trio, based in Guildford UK. Their musical style is heavily influenced by Jimi Hendrix, John mayer, Red Chilli Peppers, Jamiroquai, Maroon 5, Incubus and Philip Sayce. The band is extremely dedicated to providing fantastic music and electrifying visual shows to give the audience the ultimate live entertainment experience. Their onstage antics are visibly influenced by guitar legends like Jimi Hendrix and Stevie Ray Vaughn.

Voodoo Stripe all met whilst studying at the Academy Of Contemporary Music in Guildford. Voodoo Stripe consists of three members: Jordan Fairie (Guitar, Lead vocals), Philip van den Brandeler (Bass) and Callum Green (Drums). Voodoo Stripe started out with another drummer, but unfortunately he had to leave the band because of other commitments. In March 2011 Green joined the band.

Jordan Fairie (19) is from Bridlington in Yorkshire. He previously played Lead Guitar and Vocals for top Jimi Hendrix Tribute band Castles Made of Sand. Castles became extremely popular in Northern England and played over 120 shows in 12 months as well as headlining the Farmyard Festival in front on 6000 people. Jordan’s onstage prowess and heavy Blues influence brings full sound and expresses the personality of the band.

Philip Van Den Brandeler (19) is from Holland and is nicknamed Mr. Groove. He has been branded this through his experience with Funk, Blues and Pop bands. In 2010 he won his city’s Bass Guitar Championship award and was entered into top dutch festival and performed his pieces in front of 3000 people, he is a fantastic player and an exceptional entertainer. His unique style and in depth knowledge of theory bring a very unique flavour and ideas to the band.

Callum Green (18) is from Swindon in Wiltshire. He has been actively doing gigs since he was eleven with various bands. Just to name a few: ‘The shuffle’ (rock with a gospel feel) and another band for function gigs, doing samba and jazz. He has also done some session work for the band ‘Backwards Radio’ and also for orchestras. Greens influences are drummers like Mitch Mitchell (Jimi Hendrix), Questlove and Chris 'Daddy' Dave.
