Bio

With their innovative mix of gregorian chants and modern electronic sounds, the Swedish group Vox Archangeli Vox Archangeli introduces two new musical concepts: Gregorian songs in modern soundscapes and Air movements (ambient/inspirational music).

Vox Archangeli’s first album Sanctus : Michael immediately entered the Swedish charts upon release in September 2009. In January this year Vox Archangeli’s second album Sanctus : Gabriel, with influences stretching from both Celtic and Eastern folk music to modern minimalism, was the highest new entry in the Swedish sales chart. At the time the group was also climbing the Swedish charts with their single Archangelus Gabriel, which they performed live to 400 000 viewers on TV4 (national Swedish TV).
When releasing there next album Sanctus : Raphael, they preformed live again at new years day on TV4 (national Swedish TV), this time with 1 000 000 viewers.

Vox Archangeli are now reaching out to an international audience. Several tracks by the group – as well as by the key members previous project Vox Nova (Gregorian Techno Pop) – have previously appeared on several international compilations in Germany/Austria/Switzerland and USA, where they also have contributed the soundtrack to The Book (Reflection) – an art project inspired by the Bible.

Vox Archangeli’s latest project Sanctus : Raphael is released nov 2011 with upcoming international tours in 2012.
In recent years the Swedish music group Vox Archangeli have gained attention both internationally and in their native Sweden. Both their debut album Sanctus : Michael and the sequel Sanctus : Gabriel have brought them into the Swedish charts, and with this year's EP Sapientia - a collaboration with members of the Flesh Quartet - they entered the singles chart as top newcomers after Britney Spears. In conjunction with this year's upcoming concert at the International Sacred Music Festival in Uppsala, Vox Archangeli now present their third album Sanctus : Raphael.

With their previous two albums and the (earlier this year) chart-climbing single Sapientia, Vox Archangeli have in recent years reached out with their music to both fans in Europe, the United States and places such as Mexico and Dubai. With the magnificent melodies and mystical atmospheres of Sanctus : Raphael, the doors are now flung open to a new and even wider audience.

After the Swedish release Vox Archangeli’s single Sanctus : Raphael is also to be released internationally – and the interest up front is already high among fans around Europe, the United States and Asia that have discovered the music through the group's previous releases.
