Voyager Golden Record was formed in 2009 in Austin, TX by Travis Marcum (Austin Classical Guitar Society), Pal Moore (Royal Arms, Crossbow), Mike St. Clair (The Polyphonic Spree, The Low Lows, St. Vincent) and James Webber (Caddywompus).
Building on both classic indie rock and just plain old classic rock, VGR proudly wears its influences on its sleeve, channeling everything from Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers to Dinosaur Jr. to Television to Built to Spill, all the while trying to digest it all and make something new. VGR wants to have fun and wants you to as well; in the end, that's all that should really matter.
