At a young age sitting in a substitute teacher’s class, clowning & joking around, a group of students gained control of the class room with freestyle cypher. With the attention noted to the children rapping, V along with his classmates was amazed by the sight of how the crowd was mesmerized with every line said. He quotes “It was the power of influence that has always captivated me with music and how everyone has a love for words”. It was at that moment V knew what he wanted for his future, an artist to be remembered in the state of hip-hop.

Vincent “V” Wheeler grew up in Queens, New York where he was raised by his parents in Springfield Gardens, Queens. At an early age, He would listen to his mom play 107.5 WBLS for her favorite songs. It became a habit for V to convert songs he would hear on the radio into his own form of music. His love for hip-hop grew immensely over time; he would share his lyrics with his peers from school & watch award shows with iconic rappers that would inspire him to capture the spotlight. In college, his passion for hip-hop began to expand while he developed critical thinking with his own ideology about love, self awareness and social issues."Hip-hop is not only for thugs and gangsters who claim how much money they have or how many women they have...hip hop is for everyone, from every corner of the earth. You don't have to sell drugs to spit, you just gotta be real ".
Being genuine and looking to see the good out of every situation is a motto that not only V, but his business partners Jeffry "Jemini" Benefield & Vincent King of N*Unison Music Group (a songwriting company created by the three of them while they attended college) live by every day . "I achieve to make music that is timeless…I never wanna be in the classification of someone who says the first thing that comes out their mouth and tries to rhyme with it. Let’s make music that means something. Even if it’s not the most lyrical or thought out content, as long as it means something, it makes a difference.

V is releasing his debut mixtape "Premonitions of Royalty" early April and is currently working on his second project due out later this year coming winter 2013.
