Biography

Vudu Bevy is a four piece band based out of Providence, RI with influences which include rock, pop, indie, soul, jazz, and blues music. It features lead vocalist Keith McCurdy, drummer and producer Alexander Garzone, guitarist Anson Dorsey, and multi-instrumentalists Alden Lowe and Erik Jerominek. The sound is created from soulfully woven, tender but often rapacious, melodies of lead singer McCurdy over an unchained, bluesy guitar-toned atmosphere created by Lowe and Dorsey backed by a furiously tasteful and hard hitting rhythm section provided by Garzone and Jerominek.

When did it all begin? In the summer of 2008, Garzone was approached by long time friends Lowe and Dorsey, with the intent to collaborate on a new musical project. Garzone, having known full well the singing ability of McCurdy and the crafty musicianship of long time friend Jerominek, immediately suggested them for the project. After their first jam session at Dorsey's home in Warwick, everyone liked what they had heard and almost immediately started working out musical ideas and have stuck with it since. While currently booking shows, the band is working on new material for an EP set for release in Fall of 2009.
