"Indie Band Guru: 2012"

“Most of their songs are short but they really get through to you quickly with the way their lyrics are full of energy and rage. What impresses me the most is that the amazing energy is coming from only two guys who fill out the songs completely.” - Indie Band Guru

"Rock is Rock: 2012"

“Listening to tracks like ‘Cyanide Hand Grenades’ one of the albums highlights, the band sound like a voice from the past, but a fresh and vital one reminding you of the power rock can deliver. Made up of just two members, Hans Bielefeld on vocals and guitars and Bradley Friesen on drums and vocals, it’s hard to visualize this thick of a sound emerging from such a small lineup.” - Rock is Rock

"Rock Reviews 24/7: 2012"

“If there was ever a band that could bring rock n’ roll back to the masses and resurrect it’s slowly dying form, then that band would be Vulture Kult. Their latest record Don’t Let Rock N’ Roll Ruin Your Life is a full throttle, rock n’ roll ride that dabbles in various different eras of rock from the 1960s right through to 2012.” - Rock Reviews 24/7

"Jamsphere: 2012"

“Vulture Kult is a two-piece rock n’ roll band that will give you a kick in the ass, a righteous wake-up call. They deserve to be rock stars, even if that’s the last thing they may want.” - Jamsphere

"Puregrain Audio: 2012"

“The result of the band's refusal to take the easy way is a talented band and original sound full of pounding drums, addictive guitar riffs and vocals that will rip a hole through your chest. Vulture Kult released their latest CD Don't Let Rock n' Roll Ruin Your Life this past July. The album can be described as being similar to Fugazi, the Stooges, Black Halos, Black Sabbath and Led Zeppelin. They may only be a two-piece band, but Vulture Kult are a force to be reckoned with. Check out the track "Electric Medication" available as a free download.” - Puregrain Audio

"This is Vibes: 2012"

“All songs are amazing via well-crafted pieces and top tiered musicianship.”
“They are clearly an up and coming talent around Canada and both members are clearly capable songwriters, artists and musicians. I must admit Vulture Kult sucked me in like a powerful drug and refused to let go long after the CD was over. This usually indicates he is something special about the artist or band in question. Thus deserving praise, recognition and musical fame at the international level.” - This is Vibes

"Music Perk: 2012"

“Vulture Kult are a pleasant surprise from the Canadian depths of Saskatoon. A punk rock/rock n’ roll duo with obvious metal leanings and a healthy respect for the greats (Iggy Pop, Black Sabbath, Fugazi, Nirvana), this is a group who are realizing their rock potential through well-thought out material and a brazen DIY ethos. ‘Don’t Let Rock N’ Roll Ruin Your Life’ is a thoroughly enjoyable listen and a fine addition to the rock pantheon.” - Music Perk

"The Signal: 2012"

“If you’re going to listen to Vulture Kult, be sure that you have no heart complications or neuralogical issues before hand, because their ruthless assault of dirty, guitar driven rock just might exacerbate those issues and leave you in dire need of a new diaper.” - The Signal

"RedonBlackmusic.com: 2013"

“Vulture Kult is a hard-hitting rock n’ roll band with just the right amount of guitar riff. If you haven’t heard them, now is your chance. This Saskatoon duo has been shredding the local music scene in Saskatchewan for the past couple years and just recently released their second album, Don’t Let Rock n’ Roll Ruin Your Life. With a title like that, can it really be bad?” - RedonBlackmusic.com

"So two dudes up in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan grabbed me by the collar, kicked me in the balls proudly proclaiming, 'We remember rock n' roll!' "Examiner: 2013"

“Birthed in the spring of 2008, Vulture Kult is the brainchild of rock n' roll flipped on its ear in an effort to engineer something unique, different and catchy. Bielefeld and Friesen have accomplished something intense and whirring with Don't Let Rock n' Roll Ruin Your Life. Final Grade: A” - Examiner

Bio

Born in the Spring of 2009, Vulture Kult is the Saskatoon-based duo composed of guitarist/vocalist Hans Bielefeld and drummer Bradley Friesen.

Avoiding the cliques and current trends in music, Vulture Kult has set out on a path to refurbish and explore the musical stylings of their heavy rockin' forefathers by creating music that starts where proto-metal and punk left off. Although tipping their hats to the past, Vulture Kult have managed to find a sound that is all their own; resulting in sweaty and head-splitting Rock 'N' Roll in its most honest pure form.

The band's trademark sound has led to various comparisons; ranging from Blue Cheer, Black Sabbath, Queens Of The Stone Age, The Stooges, Black Halos, Electric Frankenstein, Priestess, Dust and The Rolling Stones.

The "Rock N Roll for the Modern Age" sound is the culmination of pounding thunder-drums, guitar riffs that light up the dark, Saskatchewan night sky, and vocals that can conjure the witchy-winds of the prairies. Sometimes sleazy but always raging, Vulture Kult will tell a story that you will understand and enjoy to the fullest.

Many national shows followed with increased media exposure, Canadian college radio charting, and critical acclaim from the band's first full-length album2012's Dont Let Rock 'N' Roll Ruin Your Life. This attention has cemented a larger international fan base for the band and has created a demand for new Vulture Kult material and touring.

In May of 2014, the duo will return to the studio to create their highly anticipated followup to Don't Let Rock 'N' Roll Ruin Your Life. With a few new tricks up their sleeves and new experiences to creatively draw from, expect  a thrilling album that will top all of the band's previous efforts.
