The VW Boys is an idea shared by Tim White and Dave Vaught. Veterans of the entertainment world, Tim and Dave have combined their talents along with another friend,
Larry McPeak to put together a show that appeals to all age groups. Children, teenagers, young and middle age adults as well as senior adults love the VW Boys !
The VW Boys’ show is a nice blend of magic, comedy and string music. The VW Boys believe that the best medicine for mankind is music and laughter…the VW Boys supply plenty of both. The most voiced complaint about the VW Boys show is that “IT WASN’T LONG ENOUGH”, even though most sets can run over an hour in length !
The VW Boys’ home is located in the Bristol, VA/TN region. They have traveled all over the east coast spreading their music, magic and comedy. They boast eight recordings to this point with many original compositions. The VW Boys performed as regulars at Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, TN for the 1999 and 2000 seasons with fantastic reviews. They have opened for legendary comedians Jerry Clower, Don Knotts, and George “Goober” Lindsey. The VW Boys have also worked with numerous other Bluegrass and Country Music artists like Bill Monroe, Ralph Stanley, Jim and Jesse, Alison Krauss and many others.
The VW Boys performed at the 2003 Smithsonian Folklife Festival in Washington D.C. and at the Kennedy Center in our nation’s capitol. Also the VW Boys have performed recently at the Ford Theatre in Nashville, TN at the Country Music Hall of Fame. They also released their 7th recording titled “VW Boys Greatest Hits”.
The VW Boys love to make their audience laugh and enjoy the show….and they sure do !
