Cowboys turned down the Cadillac Ranch during October to let a few rock and roll bands showcase their goods for an evening of Battle of the Bands. Beating out local riot-grrrl rockers Ditchrider, among others, WADE (think coffeeshop cretins who look like the Barenaked Ladies, but sound like a Maritimer's version of The Darkness) ended up taking home the grand prize of $3000 in equipment supplied by Guitar Connections. - Beatroute Magazine - Nov./04

WADE exists in music where Radiohead finds Arcade Fire and Led Zeppelin; a sophisticated kind of songwriting that will have the people listening deeply while dancing to the end.
The four met on stage as fellow actors; pursuing higher education as theatrical artists has enriched WADE’s live show to the point where it “proves that the local Calgary music scene still has some guts and some class, and is something to be proud of” (FFWD Magazine Vol.10, No.18). WADE has pushed forward in both performance and songwriting and continues to be a force to be seen and heard.
WADE released their debut album entitled “(Parenthesis)” in 2005. It holds eleven tracks that speak to the theme of The City; the ghosts and memories that live in the streets at our feet, and more importantly, where we found our place in it all.
WADE’s second studio album – “Ademain’ – is to be released in early 2008. Produced by Edmonton, AB’s Terry Tran (producer of Theresa Sokyrka's Juno-nominated pop album “These Old Charms,” and the critically acclaimed “Not Saying Just Saying” by Shout Out Out Out), “Ademain” promises to be a mature follow-up to “(Parenthesis),” showcasing ten of the band’s best songs to date.

This band stands alone in style and artistic expression. WADE is undeniable.
