Bio

The Wagon Wheel Gang is an ever-growing, eclectic group of artists from diverse musical backgrounds with the common goal of spreading joy through music. Members of the Wagon Wheel Gang have been known to congregate and perform at picnics, beaches, rodeos, campfires, hootenannies, farms, crowded vehicles on long family trips, docks, porches, barns, back yards, cook outs, ranches, church bazaars, ice cream parlors, bait shops, old folks’ homes and anyplace the magic of music can be appreciated even if only by the performers themselves.

The CD contains boot stompin', beer guzzlin', party startin' music featuring banjo, mandolin, guitar, jew's harp, washtub bass, ukulele, harmonica, fiddle, drums and much more.

The WWG is the brainchild of Big Donald (banjo, drums) and his brother Slow Water (ukulele). They started playing together on the dock of their lakehouse in Michigan. Playing children's songs and sing-a-longs at local ice ceam parlors quickly led to attarcting "real musicians" to join them for informal jams and parties. Big Donald began writing some songs about drinkin', skinny dipping and such and decided to get some of them down on a CD. Since the Wagon Wheel Gang is really only a band when there are a few folks together with their instruments, they do not tour together regularym but can occaisionly be seen performing together in South Florida, Northwestern Michigan and other weird places. Most musicians on the CD have their own bands and projects that do generate a lot of attention. Information about some of those projects can be found at:
