WAITSIX brings together a diverse background of musical knowledge that culminates a hardcore yet melodic sound. With their driving beats and their unique instrument noises they bring to life a new twist on modern rock... It’s what the French call a certain, I don’t know what? It’s what WAITSIX calls post-metal grunge. Coming together they bring a fresh new take on a style of music that is awesome enough to make you pee yourself. These guys have been jamming out since they were young and have not given up on the dream for musical mastery. They take a path to infinity and beyond to create musical madness. Influenced by many different styles of music and some of music’s greatest, they have created a blend of pure awesomeness. They are defined by their skilled sound and remembered by all for the many years of playing shows in the park, at the coffee house, and downtown Austin, TX. They bring devoted followers and eager fans wherever they go. They have created WAITSIX to transport you to a place where sounds become colors and promote what one would call, “LEMON DEPENDANCE…”

Jay Hanover plays the drums and picked up his influences from Drummers like Chad Sexton from 311 and Abe Cunningham from Deftones. Jay has 16 years of drumming experience and 2 years of formal training. The experience built while playing in Krylon, Patient Zero, and his church band has developed his attention-grabbing style. Jay is known for his great timing, amazing sound, and technical knowledge and ability to perform.

Chris Graham plays bass and guitar, also starting when he was 16, his experience gives him a multitude of talents making his musical expertise completely assorted. He has been influenced by some of those such as Dream Theatre, Alice in Chains, and Primus. After seeing his first TOOL concert he knew there was nothing more important than making music. Nothing! His music making started young and has included his first band, “liquid chipmunks” all the way to the church band he is plays with. Chris believes, “the world is broken… we do what we can.”

Chris Shaw the left handed guitar player, whom actually plays the right handed way, brings a level of guitar playing like no other. His technique brings aggressive and melodic compromise while adding his signature off the wall guitar noises and satisfying riffs. He gains his influences from bands like TOOL, Rage Against The Machine, and Jimi Hendrix. Chris has known he wanted to play the guitar from the moment he saw Jimi Hendrix burn his guitar at Woodstock.
