A band that dares to not give in to trends, obstacles, or shortcomings. Hailing from Jackson, Tennessee, WAKE THE LIGHT is one of these bands. In just one short year, the band has proven itself through a series of ups and downs. Soldiering on through legal troubles, contractual obligations, and a seemingly never-ending search for the right combination of musicians, the band has finally planted its roots firmly in fertile ground.

Born out of the ashes of an already popular west Tennessee band, WAKE THE LIGHT is more than just a band; to its five members, it is a part of them. It is the essence of communication; it's not being afraid to speak your mind in a crowded room. It is a voice for all those afraid to speak.

When was the last time you heard a band pour every ounce of their heart and soul into their music?

Vocalist T-Jay Tipps is no stranger to "near misses" when it comes to living your dreams. A Top 100 finalist for the CBS show "Rock Star: INXS" and one of only 30-some odd people chosen to audition directly for the lead vocals spot in the band FUEL (which also included the likes of A. Jay Popoff of LIT and J.R. Richards of DISHWALLA), Tipps fronts the band with an infectious energy and a dynamic vocal presence that leaves you drawn into the music. Guitarists Steve Augustyn and Eli Cash play perfect complement to each's style and are two of the most accomplished guitarists in all of modern rock. Their combination of aggressive riffs and polished effects add the perfect ambience to the band's hard-edge style. Bassist Vincent Mathis will give you one of the most energetic performances ever witnessed night in and night out; his motor runs at 110% all the time. Vincent's bass lines are a powerful, rhythmic backdrop to the band's music. Robb Nightlife sticks it all together with high-energy, solid drumming and certainly is not afraid to get creative. Along with Tipps, Nightlife is a remaining member of the band's original lineup.
