Very soon our up and coming C.D. Self Titled

In a market as competitive music, I believe what will set a band apart from others is honesty. Honesty by the way the music is produced on a recording can show a certin charactor or imperfection that can be a refreasing flavor. Wakin' up Johnny does the best we can to stay true to ourselves and our music.

The band's members are as follows: Bob Robinson (singer, songwriter, rhythm guitar), Duanne Welsh (drums), Dennis Rydout (bass, producer), and Mike Elder (lead/rhythm guitar).

Bob Robinson (rhythm guitar, lead vocals)
Bob plays a Gibson Les Paul Studio with Daddario strings on a Vox tube amp and sings through a Sure microphone. Singing and song writing has been the passion of this Owen Sound man for the past eight years. Before his induction to Wakin' up Johnny, Bob was known around Owen Sound for his solo acoustic acts. Writing songs about environmental issues as well as lost and found love allowed him to win over the local people. His inspirations are Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, Martin Sexton, The Black Crows, and Our Lady Peace.

Duane Welsh (Drums)
Duane hits Sonor drums and Sabian symbols with hickory sticks. Duane’s expertise is making it loud and rock’n, as any member of the many bands he has been in would tell you. He has hit the skins in more bands than anyone can count on their hands and feet. Behind his staggeringly awesome Sonor kit, this man is the trigger and the barrel of this lethal weapon!

Dennis Ridout (bass)
Dennis Plays a Fender bass on a Fender bass amp. Dennis’ expertise is also in the blues, but he has been through the chamber of many guns. This Owen Sound boy has a knack for almost any instrument that you put in his hands, even a studio recording program, which has made him an asset in many bands. Dennis is influenced by many, though he returns the favour and is inspirational in his own respect.

Mike Elder (lead guitar)
Mike plays a Fender Showmaster with Dadario strings on a custom built (by Mike) tube amp. Mike’s expertise is in the blues. His main influences are Neil Young, Buddy Guy, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, and Stevie Ray Vaughn. With influences like that, how could you go wrong? Mike is the sultan of the strings.
