Walkine

Born in the Bahamas, Walkine grew up with a wide variety of musical influences which has helped to shape his own unique style as a producer, songwriter and singer. Influences from artists such as Bob Marley, Al Green, Marvin Gay & Lenny Williams, to today’s artists such as Babyface, Prince, Seal, & Stevie Wonder have helped him to define his own personal style of music that is somewhat reflective of 70’s R&B, the time that he states “when music was music and singers where singers”, but with a musical sound that suits today’s market. Introduced to the music industry at the age of 15 when he first recorded a song in a studio, he decided that music was something that he wanted to do for the rest of his life. Since then his life has been surrounded by music. In the year 2004 he established Diamond Music Entertainment Group, a music production company and recording studio facility which is located in the Bahamas. This step was a turning point in his career which is now being guided by a music industry veteran in the person of two-time Grammy nominated producer/mix engineer Jon Gass. Jon who’s clientele ranges from Babyface, Boys II Men, and the late Ray Charles to Madonna, Whitney Houston, and Janet Jackson and is credited with mixing and producing 80 top 20 hits, 100 top 40 hits and over 200 gold and platinum albums, he decided that Walkine’s talent was a rarity and he was deserving of the chance to become a musical great. So he assisted in the design of the recording facility and company setup and now this industry veteran is putting his magic touch on and polishing all tracks produced by Walkine including his debut. Walkine has produced numerous tracks and work with various artist throughout the Caribbean and the United States but most recent he has been working with the Grammy winning group “The Baha Men” who a few years back had the hit song “who let the dogs out” on their upcoming album. Very few individuals have the ability to walk into a recording studio with just an idea for a track and leave with it completed at a standard ready for radio and stores. Walkine is that type of musical creator and this ability is what gives him a huge edge over others and is what’s making him one of the hottest upcoming song writers, producers and artists from the Caribbean region and the world. He possesses a raw talent that is displayed in his music as well as in his lyrics and performances. Indeed Walkine is what the music industry has been missing for sometime, someone who can really sing, write hit songs and entertain.
