"2015 Wadsworth Blue Tip Festival"

““Wadsworth city officials knew exactly who they wanted to kickoff the Blue Tip Festival in Wadsworth: local band “Walking In Circles.” “The group draws an incredible number of fans. They have a great following,” city prosecutor Tom Morris said, who organizes the event each year. The group will kick off the Blue Tip Festival on Tuesday night (June 23), following the parade, which begins at 6 p.m. They, along with an opening act, will hit the stage around 8 p.m. for a show you won’t want to miss! The band members, along with their momager (Carrie Gray), were recently on the morning show with Tom and Tina, performing their Eric Clapton version of “Layla” and an original song, “On My Way” with vocalist Allison Wolf as the lead. (Friends, if you haven’t heard Allison sing, you need to!) Zack, Jake, Blake, Allison, Kevin and Ben are full of energy and commitment and they bring so much laughter and spirit to our studio.”” - Tina Heiberg, Wadsworth Community Radio 97.1FM

Bio

When Walking In Circles formed in 2012, some were skeptical about the potential success of the band when discovering the style of music WIC wanted to pursue…Classic Rock. They were told that style was outdated, people were tired of hearing it and should play the more modern music. 4 years later, 2 huge Band Battle Victories in the Cleveland area, first CD recorded and sold out CD release party, and constant invites to play at several Northeast Ohio Music Venues later…no one is skeptical now.

Walking In Circles' music style is structured in Classic Rock, but they have taken the genre and made it their own.
As you listen to their music, you can hear the influences of styles, such as Southern Rock, 80's Hair Bands, the Power Rock Ballad, Funk and the more modern Alternative Rock with the 80's guitar shredding mixed in throughout.
As the band continues to write and record, you will hear influences of many other styles as the band "walks in circles" through different genres and musical styles, whether playing originals or covers.

Walking In Circles is comprised of 7 members, all best friends, and the talent level and commitment of these young men and woman, ages 16-21, is so apparent when you hear them play.

WIC live shows are fun to attend; the lead singer, Blake Brouse, is always engaging the crowd, making sure that the audience is always part of the show as well. Bassist Allison Wolf's beautiful vocals adds to the mix as she does backups and takes over as lead vocalist on several songs. The Showstopper would be Jake Gray on lead Guitar, mastering the "shred", whether it be Randy Rhodes "Mr. Crowley" to David Gilmour in "The Wall", or the influence of George Lynch on several originals, Jake never fails to astonish the audience with the maturity of his playing compared to his age. Between Jake's guitar prowess, Blake's showmanship and Allison's beautiful vocals, along with the obvious talent of the other band members, WIC is the total package.
