Biography

Walking On Cars are an up and coming pop-rock act from Kerry, Ireland. The band's first official release, an independently released E.P. entitled "As We Fly South", has garnered much attention, with national airplay and chart success through lead singles Two Stones (Hallelujah) and Catch Me If You Can. Both of which are accompanied by stunning music videos approaching half a million views on You Tube.

Members Patrick, Sorcha, Evan, Dan and Paul are schoolfriends from Dingle, Co. Kerry, who resisting the unending tide of emigration, chose to pursue their dream of cutting a record. Spending the the winter of 2012 holed up in their rehearsal studio, they eventually agreed on the songs that would make their Debut recording.

As lead vocalist Patrick puts it"A year and a half ago in Dingle we were left with two choices. Emigrate, or make music. And we haven’t looked back since.”

Certainly a wise choice, according to MRU magazine" as Irish music without Walking On Cars simply wouldn’t be the same. It’s rare to discover a band that in such a short space of time can make incredible leaps towards success. “Nothing is impossible” is the message the band try to convey in their music."

The band recorded their E.P. at Attica Audio Studios, Donegal, with the help of producer/engineer Tom McFall (Editors/Biffy Clyro/Snow Patrol)
managing to produce a top quality, independently funded record. The release of which was helped along by a sold out launch party at Whelan's, Dublin.

Through there strong online presence, relentless gigging and dedication to there craft, Walking On Cars are establishing themselves as one of the most promising and professional young bands in Ireland. Boosting there profile with memorable performances on RTE 's Other Voices and Late Late Show the band enjoys a dedicated and growing fan-base both in Ireland and abroad.

With standout shows at Indiependance, Sea Sessions and Castlepalooza this summer, along with sold out shows around Ireland,Walking On Cars are delighted to announce their headline show at The Acadamy, Dublin, Dec 7th which is also now sold out.
