"Uplifting Harmonies"

"Atlanta outfit Waller plays an organic, easygoing brand of woodsy country music, largely using acoustic instrumentation. They take turns singing lead but the band hits its stride when the voices of Jason C. Waller and Tiffany Leigh Blalock unite in uplifting harmonies. Stoke the Fire is their newly minted ten-song CD. "Their shows are a blast!"

"Waller are, I must say, an Atlanta country folk must-see, and one of my inspirations to keep playing this music. Their shows are a blast"

"Waller reminds me of the Golden Days of Country Music"

"I was impressed with the country group Waller, and that is saying something taking my feelings on most country into account. But Waller really reminds me of the golden days of country music, which has almost been completely taken over my modern pop country. When they started playing, artists like Elvis and Johnny Cash started coming to mind. Their rendition of Dolly Parton's Jolene was especially soulful."

"One of the Best Outfits in Atlanta"

"There’s a new wave of rootsy twang-rockers dotting the local landscape lately. One of the best outfits is most definitely Waller. Led by guitarist/vocalist Jason C. Waller, the expansive ensemble draws on bluegrass, gospel, boogie-woogie and down-home country folk music for its satisfying sound, captured with natural warmth on a new, self-pressed CD titled My Poor Queen that you can pick up from the group at their next show. I’m impressed most by the pure, disarming qualities of Waller’s and co-vocalist Tiffany Leigh Blalock’s voices, and the way the players don’t force unnecessary brawn onto the songs, a la the Avett Brothers and too many other young bands. They simply let them flow naturally, and they’re wonderful."
- Jeff Clark, Stomp and Stammer - Stomp and Stammer

Bio

Childhood friends Jason C. Waller and Tiffany Leigh reunited after 10 years and began traveling the Southeast, sharing their songs, and making new friends. Audiences quickly became fans of their 2010 EP entitled My Poor Queen. This propelled the duo to progress their simple and joyful singer/songwriter style into a rich multi-layered sound. 2012 marks the release of their first full-length album Stoke The Fire and an all new line up. WALLER is off the leash!

In less than a year, WALLER has evolved from a straightforward folk duo to a full-band powerhouse. The band is just as comfortable roaring through a country classic as they are pulling at your heart strings with a tender ballad. With deceptively simple songs, WALLER has stood out amidst the crowded music scene as something truly special: a group of good friends making great music.

WALLER has been winning over audiences with their soulful and authentic style; turning each show into a grand family reunion. Their songs ring with the comfort of home, drawn from a deep well of community and kinfolk. They are often compared to legends such as The Carter Family, John Prine, or Alison Krauss & Union Station. WALLER is not afraid to call on the traditions of artists who have come before and stay song-oriented maintaining their stature as an unmistakably modern band.

Always a sought-after favorite at festivals and gatherings, WALLER is emerging as a familiar voice on both local and regional radio. These sincere musicians are exploring their musical heritage while bringing a soulful energy to their live performance. They have gained respect from many in the southeast music industry, including Atlanta’s 94.9 The Bull and 88.5 WRAS Georgia Music Show.

Much of WALLER’s expansive sound can be attributed to their new line-up of accomplished touring and recording musicians: drummer Adam Lavinsky; guitarist Zachary Caplan; keyboardist Tim Kohler; and bassist Justin Roberts. These supporting musicians enable the band to switch gears from the sweetness of a country ballad to the dirt and grit of a bluesy rock grind in the blink of an eye.

The heart of WALLER is the sound of new growth, from the deep roots of Southern music - roots that produced the great American musical styles of Country, Blues, Rock n’ Roll, and Jazz. WALLER is a band from Georgia, born of the Americana tradition, yet raised in the modern age.
