The traditional forms of Caribbean and African music unite with the more aggressive self-confident sounds of upcoming musicians. All in all this is a very exciting mix of stylistic elements which shoots through the ear directly into the heart.
It is the diversity that makes Wally Warning so special.
What the band has to offer on stage is simply splendid. The stage is transformed into a boiling tropical night club. If a description is needed at all, one could describe the music as World-Reggae-Funk-Gospel with a lot of Soul. But the label does not matter. Important is only that Wally Warning and Friends manage to create a mixture of multi-cultural musical styles. This might sound artificial on paper but on stage it’s an explosion of concentrated energy and emotion no one can ignore!

the music of Aruba´s Wally Warning cannot be classified in an established category bacause it always remains versatile, open for new inspirations and forms of expression. Music is an elixir of life, a connecting passion across all borders. Wally Warning’s songs are at the same time contemporary and timeless. This has also been shown by his summer hit “no monkey”. Within a very short period the song conquered the charts in Germany and Switzerland
”I was born on the island of Aruba in the Southern Caribbean and there I came into contact from my earliest childhood with the most varied musical styles, from salsa via reggae and calypso to soul and pop. My early sources of inspiration include artists like Otis Redding.”
The many solo albums with their enormous stylistic variety that he has released were regularly greeted with enthusiasm. His journeys of research through countless genres and styles are not the least of the reasons why he has remained musically unpredictable to date and every time it is an experience to travel with him on such a new journey. And that applies both to his numerous albums and to his fantastic live shows. In concerts in particular it shows that Wally Warning is a live musician to the core, irrespective of whether he's working with a band or solo. The feedback from his fans, many of whom have remained faithful to him through all the years, is very important to him.
