Bio

At an early age Wally young was introduced to music by his grandfather with almost nightly jam sessions in the kitchen at his grandparents house .Wally soon learned the love of music Wally was born and raised in Charlottetown PE. And started playing music at the age of 7 when his Grandfather taught him how to play the harmonica and a bit on the fiddle. At age 11 he learned how to play a bit on the guitar and took up singing. His Grandfather started taking him to play music at seniors dances and also on local TV. For a few years Wally put his music on hold and started his family. Wally has 4 children, two boys and two girls.

In 1997 Wally was diagnosed with a degenerative eye condition and was unable to work. Music was there for him to come back to and soon there after he was back playing at the seniors dances, benefits and concerts around Prince Edward Island. Wally had rediscovered what he truly enjoyed doing, playing music. In 2005 he was asked by his local following when he was going to record a CD. After lots of thought he then decided why not. Wally contacted Jimi Platts who has a recording studio in Charlottetown. Jimi has had a lot of experience in music ,he played and shared the same stags with such stars as
George Jones, Ray Price and Freddy Fender to mention a few he has been a great support during and after the recording .

In April 2006 Wally recorded his second CD titled Granddad’s kitchen. The title song was the first song he ever wrote and it came in a heart beat. The song and album title was inspired from the days spent at his Grandparents house and how every time he would go there Wally would soon be playing music with his Grandfather.
