Bio

Anyone who has seen or met Walter Campbell will tell you that he is just plain ole silly!! A Sacramento, California native, Walter currently resides in San Antonio, Texas. He first hit the stage in 1992 at an open mic night at a comedy club in Los Angeles, California on a dare. To his surprise and the audiences delight, Walt walked out of the club that night $100 richer. After enlisting in the Air Force in 1994, Walter began to take his natural knack for being silly, seriously. He then began to host the monthly comedy shows at Cannon Air Force Base, all the while transforming his natural abilities to his craft.

Beyond his silliness, his versatility and energy mixed in with his clean and relevant comedy, enables him to reach people of all nationalities and backgrounds. His wit, animation, and charm create uncontrollable laughter and amusement in his stand up routines or as Master of Ceremonies.

He has worked with and opened for national entertainers such as Sinbad along with Sommore, Shang Forbes, Sheryl Underwood, Bruce Bruce, Don “DC” Curry, Carlos Mencia, Mark “The Chinaman” Britten, EMI Gospel recording artist Lamar Campbell, legendary R&B group Maze featuring Frankie Beverly, as well as parody king Weird Al Yankovic in 2004.

As a skilled Master of Ceremonies, Walter has graced various stages around the world to host such events like the Sickle Cell Anemia Comedy Show Fundraiser, as well as entertaining an audience of 8,000 as the host at the 2005 East Coast Step Show in Fayetteville, North Carolina.

In 2002, Walt was the premiere host for the “Comedy After Dark” comedy showcases in Europe, which toured United States military bases all throughout Europe. In 2001, he spent the year traveling around the world with the premiere entertainment Air Force group, Tops In Blue where Walt not only showcased his comedic skills, but also singing, dancing and magic. During his tour Walt performed over 137 shows, including a pit stop at NASCAR’s Daytona 500 in 2001.

Currently, you can experience a Walter Campbell performance at The Rivercenter Comedy Club, in San Antonio, Texas where he is a featured performer and audience favorite, with his straight silly parodies and hilarious outlook on life. Other special appearances include, host of the United States Air Force Worldwide Talent Competition in 2004 and 2005, KBBT 98.5FM The Beat's Morning Mess Radio Show, and in his cousin's home videos from Disneyland. For the record he is happily married and has 2 lovely daughters!
